Not everything is perfect

Egypt
Egypt is a country in Africa.

I love Egypt because not everything is perfect. But it does not matter because the people are peaceful.

Egypt is my first country and it’s my favourite place in the whole world.

Revolution
Today is Saturday 12th Nov 2011.

The revolution started on 25th Jan 2011.
It is still going on. People are still going to jail for no reason.

Environment
If everyone did not litter in Egypt it would be a cleaner place in 5 or 10 years.

School
Last year when I was in Egypt I went to school. I did not like it because there are 2 hours of homework a day.

I am home schooled now.

More to come!
The end.

Egypt is home to me

I am in Egypt and it is the funnest experience of my life. I come every year for a few months and every year it gets better and better. I love it in Egypt. It brings back good memories.

I am having a lot of fun. Eight months ago Egypt had a revolution to get rid of Hosny Mubarak. More than eight hundred people died. I wished I was there but I was not there. It's very very very peaceful now.

HOME SWEET HOME
In Egypt most people live in flats. Only 1 out of 100 people live in houses. So 198 people out of 200 live in flats.

I think flats are better than houses because you can play with your neighbours who live in the same building

THE END!!!

Australia, the lucky country

Australia is a lucky country in many ways, especially if you compare it to many other countries in the world.

The schools in Australia are much better than schools in other countries. For example, when I went to school in Egypt we had 2 hours of homework every night so we didn’t have much time to play after school. And the bags were very heavy because we had to carry a lot of books in them. One of the good things here is that we have sports activities in school. When I was in Egypt we didn’t have sport at school.

The government system in Australia is very fair. The people can vote for the person they think should be the Prime Minister. In some countries the voting is not fair and the president steals the people’s money and treats the people badly. That is why a country like Egypt had a Revolution. The people want to choose their president and have a government that does good things for them.

Australia has peaceful police who help the people. In Egypt, the police sometimes kill people or put them in jail just for saying what they think about something. In Australia, we are lucky because we can say what we think without being put in jail for saying it. We have free speech.

In Australia, most people can afford to buy food that is healthy. And we are lucky to have lots of fruit trees and vegetable gardens to give us beautiful food. In many countries in the world people do not have enough money to buy food and so they are often hungry. I think it would be a horrible feeling to go to bed hungry.

We are also lucky because we have public swimming pools to swim in. In some countries you have to pay a lot of money to join a swimming club.

The children in Australia have lots of toys, but in other countries they don’t.

The people in Australia are some of the happiest in the world because they are kind, and live in harmony, and they all love each other. We are very lucky in Australia.
