Australia is a lucky country in many ways, especially if you compare it to many other countries in the world.
The schools in Australia are much better than schools in other countries. For example, when I went to school in Egypt we had 2 hours of homework every night so we didn’t have much time to play after school. And the bags were very heavy because we had to carry a lot of books in them. One of the good things here is that we have sports activities in school. When I was in Egypt we didn’t have sport at school.
The government system in Australia is very fair. The people can vote for the person they think should be the Prime Minister. In some countries the voting is not fair and the president steals the people’s money and treats the people badly. That is why a country like Egypt had a Revolution. The people want to choose their president and have a government that does good things for them.
Australia has peaceful police who help the people. In Egypt, the police sometimes kill people or put them in jail just for saying what they think about something. In Australia, we are lucky because we can say what we think without being put in jail for saying it. We have free speech.
In Australia, most people can afford to buy food that is healthy. And we are lucky to have lots of fruit trees and vegetable gardens to give us beautiful food. In many countries in the world people do not have enough money to buy food and so they are often hungry. I think it would be a horrible feeling to go to bed hungry.
We are also lucky because we have public swimming pools to swim in. In some countries you have to pay a lot of money to join a swimming club.
The children in Australia have lots of toys, but in other countries they don’t.
The people in Australia are some of the happiest in the world because they are kind, and live in harmony, and they all love each other. We are very lucky in Australia.
Ziad: This is a very interesting perspective. It's also lovely because it's clear you are grateful for all the advantages you have in your life. That will take you far. Keep writing! Love, Lisa
ReplyDeleteAwesome Ziad! Well written mate! A good way to show how grateful we are for what we have, is to share whatever we can with the less fortunate! Even sharing a smile is great : )
ReplyDeleteWell done!
